Songs I – V is a series of short sound pieces edited from sung instances of the word ‘golden’, to produce occasional audio interludes, at once plaintive, joyful and wistful.
Songs I, II, III, 2005, were conceived as a disconnected soundtrack to Vistas, with tracks selected from iTunes search results, and realised during Electric Greenhouse, a digital arts residency in London hosted by b3 media in collaboration with Artquest, London
Songs IV, 2014, 16″ was produced on site at MAI Montreal as part of a workshop & performance, with tracks nominated by participants and originally mixed by musician and composer Joey Mallat (52″)
Songs V, 2015, 3’25” was produced for the 1st Asia Biennial / 5th Guangzhou Triennial, Guangdong Museum of Art, with over 50 tracks nominated by participating artists and curators
