Now in its 6th year, the 2013 Jarman Award was launched in February with an invited call for nominations. As in previous years, over 300 representatives across the UK from the art world including curators, commissioners, artists and cinema programmers were invited to suggest potential recipients of the prestigious Award. The Award sees UK moving image artists contending for £10,000 in prize money and a Channel 4 Random Acts broadcast commission.
susan pui san lok is one of 43 nominated artists whose work will be reviewed by the Jarman jury panel. The shortlist will be announced in the summer, followed by a national tour of events and screenings in the autumn, profiling the shortlisted artists. This year’s winner will be announced at a special event at the Whitechapel Gallery in November 2013.
