New Geographies and the East Contemporary Visual Arts Network (ECVAN) are delighted to announce the artists selected to create ten major site-responsive visual arts commissions across the East of England.
Throughout the summer of 2017, ECVAN asked people to nominate overlooked or unexpected places in the region that they find meaningful and interesting to them. With over 270 public nominations, ECVAN created a new map of the East of England made by those who live here.
Out of almost 600 submissions from artists responding to an international Open Call, ECVAN have selected 10 artists – from the UK and internationally – to highlight some of those places with new site-specific works.
