Songs VI is part of an ongoing series of soundworks ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes, in which instances of the lyric ‘golden’ collide to produce condensed audio interludes, at turns joyful, plaintive, and wistful.
Songs VI was created for the Diaspora Pavilion, Venice, 2017, based on fifty tracks nominated by fellow artists and curators. Songs VI is presented along with other works from the ongoing project, Golden, including Golden Hour, 2006 and two site-specific installations, Untitled (Pavilion) and Untitled (Shower), 2017. Diaspora Pavilion is at Palazzo Pisani Santa Marina, Venice, until 26 November 2017.
